Stones Unhallowed is the original working title for the third book in The Stormlight Archive, Brandon has also mentioned "Skybreakers" as a working title.[1] It is currently planned to be released mid to late 2016.[2]
Behind the Scenes
Brandon wrote a few "exploratory scenes" for "Stones Unhallowed" during the summer of 2014, however he does not plan to start in earnest on the book until April 2015. He then plans to spend the rest of the year on it. He also plans on screen-capture part of the writing process, as he did with Words of Radiance's Rysn interlude.[2]

The working title "Stones Unhallowed", like all planned titles for The Stormlight Archive is the title of an in-world book. It is likely in relation to Urithiru which Ali-daughter-Hasweth mentions was at times the Shins' only connection to the outside world do to its "stones unhallowed". [3]
The working title might still be Stones Unhallowed if he can get it out before Patrick Rothfuss finishes Doors of Stone.[citation needed]
