Shardwielding is a term used to refer to someone who holds a Shardblade or a suit of Shardplate. If someone holds both a Shardblade and Shardplate, they are considered to be a full Shardbearer.

Although the term generally refers to true Shardblades and Shardplate, the term Shardbearer is also applied to those who hold Shardblade-like weapons, such as the Honorblades and the unique blade Nightblood.

The term "Shardbearer" is not to be confused with "Shard" or "Shardholder," which is a non-canon term for a Vessel.
