History

Many Voidbringers gathered outside Thaylen City in Shadesmar, then managed to transfer to the Physical Realm when they were ready without using the Oathgate. There were many Fused there, and some ancients who didn't have bodies. This allowed them to inhabit the stone in the ground, becoming Thunderclasts. To complete their troops, Nergaoul filled Sadeas' troops with the Thrill to usher them into bloodlust and turn them against Dalinar and the other humans there. Many important events transpired throughout the course of this battle. Lift decided to stay and fight despite the Azish's departure; Szeth swore the Third Ideal of the Skybreakers to obey and follow Dalinar; Odium almost broke Dalinar, but Dalinar managed to overcome the pressure against him and refused to become Odium's Champion, then united the three realms in an outpouring of gloryspren and Stormlight, filling every gem in the city and forming a Perpendicularity that Adolin, Shallan, and Kaladin use to return to the Physical Realm and join the fight; ; Shallan, using Lightweaving, wove up an entire army and used it to distract their assailants, even managing to give them substance; Jasnah showed off some prowess with her Soulcasting abilities, and decided not to kill Renarin, who was revealed to have bonded a corrupted spren; Amaram bonded Yelig-nar by swallowing a gem the Unmade was contained in, growing grotesque carapace under his Shardplate, and attacked Dalinar, and is later distracted by Kaladin; Teft bonded an honorspren; and Venli bonded a lightspren, which took her previously bonded voidspren captive; Lift and Szeth retrieve a perfect gem and give it to Dalinar, who uses it to imprison Nergaoul; Kaladin is almost killed by Amaram after he runs out of Stormlight, but is saved by Rock, who takes Amaram out with an arrow.
