History
Kholin army
Colot is an archer, and his battalion has a number of archers; he also commands some scouts, scribes, and bridgemen.[1]
He was good friends with Captain Tallan of the Eighth Company, which acted as the Fifth Battalion's policing force during the Battle of Narak.[1] After the battle, he volunteers his battalion to help Bridge Four scout Urithiru.[1] He is present after the death of Vedekar Perel; Dalinar asks him to help secure the perimeter and to notify Elhokar and Sebarial of the death.[1]
Radiant squire
He is next seen among a group of potential Knights Radiant squires that General Khal sends to Kaladin.[2] Kaladin is hesitant to recruit lighteyes, but Skar vouches for Colot and points out that Renarin is also lighteyed.[2] Colot and some other lighteyed recruits do not require any special treatment, causing Skar to reflect on the stereotypical perception of lighteyes.[2]
Rlain later sees Colot and nine other new recruits to Bridge Four training with Peet after gaining the ability to breathe in Stormlight.[2] Colot is the only lighteyed squire in the group, and remains one of only a few members of Bridge Four who were originally lighteyed.[2]
After becoming a squire, Colot is known to Shallan. While disguised as a messenger from the Shattered Plains, she invokes his name to seem more authentic during an attempt to deliver a letter from Elhokar to Aesudan.[3]
