Relis is a Shardbearer on the Shattered Plains. He is the eldest of Highprince Ruthar's sons.[1]

He duelled with Epinar.[2] He confronts Adolin after the duel between Adolin and Elit Ruthar, whereafter Adolin challenges him to a duel with all Kholin's shards on the table. Highjudge Istow witnesses an agreement for Adolin to fight whoever Relis brings, the prize being Kholin's six blades and however many blades Relis brings to fight.[1] Relis brings three others to the duel; Elit, Abrobadar and Jakamav, which leads in to Renarin and Kaladin joining in to narrowly beat the four others.[3][4]

After the fight, Relis is sent back to Alethkar by his father.[5]
