Brightlady Jayla Ruthar is an Alethi noblewoman on Roshar during the Era of Solitude.[1]
Appearance and Personality
Jasnah Kholin believes that Jayla and her husband are thieving and dangerous. They are usually political allies of Torol and Ialai Sadeas,[1][2] who use them for their ambition.[3]
History
At some point in her life, Jayla wed Highprince Ruthar[1] and gave birth to their son Relis.[4] She is the aunt of Elit Ruthar.[5]
During the War of Reckoning, she presumably lived in the Ruthar warcamp on the Shattered Plains. In late 1173, she attended a meeting in the Pinnacle with other members of the Alethi nobility to discuss the threat of the Assassin in White.[1]
