Koen is a darkeyed[2] soldier from Alethkar on Roshar. A former member of the Cobalt Guard, he joined Bridge Four after the Battle of the Tower and was one of the first non-bridgemen to become a Windrunner squire.[3]
As a former squire to Kaladin, he presumably bonded an honorspren and swore at least the Second Ideal of the Windrunners if he was alive in early 1175.[1]
