The gloomdancer is a mythological creature in Thaylenah on Roshar. Modern Thaylens and Rosharan scholars generally consider them to be fictitious, alongside sea hags and living heaps of cremlings.[1]
During the True Desolation, there were increased reports of unexplainable events, causing Jasnah Kholin to reconsider the authenticity of some legends and folk tales. Vstim mentioned Jasnah's thoughts on Aimians and the gloomdancer to Rysn during a discussion of the unusual events that were occurring on the Wandersail during the expedition to Akinah.[1]
