Dova is a scholar and ardent on Roshar. She is a member of the Diagram and is involved in their research of Death Rattles.[1]
History
Dova somehow discovered the Diagram's work on the Death Rattles on her own, and wanted to aid in their collection. Taravangian had not expected to attract an ardent to his cause, but decided that the group had no boundaries and inducted her instead of assassinating her.[1] She resided in Kharbranth,[2] and presumably was a member of the Silent Gatherers, or at least worked closely with them.
In late 1173, Dova reported to Adrotagia via spanreed that she was having increased difficulty finding Death Rattles to collect. Taravangian tied this to the movement of Moelach, but simply ordered Dova to continue her work.[1] Although Joshor was sent to the Horneater Peaks to try and follow Moelach,[3] Dova remained in Kharbranth.[2]
She was also tasked with writing an anonymous "leaked" essay to Tashikk as part of Taravangian's coordinated effort to undermine Dalinar Kholin and disband his coalition.[3][4]
Following the Battle of Thaylen Field, Taravangian confided in Dalinar that he believed Dova was actually the Herald Battar.[2]
