The wastescum skirmishes are raids by Reshi on the northern coast of Alethkar that occurred during the reign of Gavilar Kholin.[1]

Jost's father fought in them, and claims to have won a Shardblade which was confiscated by lighteyes. Kaladin found this to be unlikely, as he says the Reshi never had Shardblades.[1]
