Yix is a member of Macob's caravan.[1]
He has golden hair and is potentially multilingual though not of Alethi origin.
He scouted for the caravan, accompanying Tyn just before they met Shallan. His presence surprises Shallan, who had not noticed him until Tyn called his name.
