Omal is a high-ranking Azish general on Roshar. He is a short man who wears both the colors and the uniform expected of his station.[1]
When the coalition of monarchs decided to mount an offensive against Emul, Omal was part of Yanagawn's team that led the Azish armies. In Vev 1175, after Taravangian's betrayal, enemy Veden forces planned an offensive intending to rescue Taravangian and destroy the coalition's supplies. Dalinar (with advice from Dieno) was able to anticipate the Veden actions and warn the Azish, allowing them to prepare for the attack and decimate the opposition. Omal complimented Dalinar on his military strategy and his leadership on the battlefield. [1]
