Kurth, also known as the City of Lightning[1] is a city on one of the Reshi Isles just off the east coast of Rira.[2]

It is well-known as far away as Alethkar. In his youth, Kaladin had heard stories about Kurth, Rall Elorim, and other faraway locales that encouraged his desire to join Torol Sadeas' army in order to see what other lands are like.[1]

The city is home to an Oathgate which was constructed to serve the people of Rishir, one of the ancient Silver Kingdoms.[3][4] During the Last Desolation, the armies of Odium took the city and held the Oathgate in Kurth in addition to the Kholinar and Rall Elorim Oathgates.[5]
