Kai-garnis is a thunderclast involved in the Battle of Thaylen Field.

She awakened from the bay in the midst of the singer army before the battle by sinking into the stone and becoming it, before ripping herself out of the ground. Odium later complimented her on the destruction of part of the outer wall, and tasked her with taking the Oathgate if the Tisark can't destroy it. Hrdalm attacked her with support from Adolin, but the two struggled until Renarin joined them. When Renarin arrives Kai-garnis appears to be scared of him. He convinces Adolin to stand down, and then engaged and cut her hand off when she attempted to squash him. Adolin borrowed Maya to Hrdalm and Renarin continued to keep her focus and cut her legs and arms off. Once she was immobilized, Renarin approached and drew in a large amount of Stormlight, causing Kai-garnis to flee from the stone.
