Dreamstorm is a young, high-sprited horse under Jenet's care in Dalinar's warcamp. Jenet is in the process of getting her used to wearing a saddle when Bridge Four comes for their first riding lesson. When Adolin sees that Kaladin is riding the more docile Spray, he suggests trying Dreamstorm if Kaladin wants a horse with more spunk.

Despite Jenet warning him that Dreamstorm is not good with riders, Kaladin chooses to try riding Dreamstorm anyway. He sticks himself to her with stormlight and manages to hold on through Dreamstorm's first round of attempts to throw him. Dreamstorm is clever enough to wait until the stormlight runs out before finally bucking him.

At the end of this incident, Dalinar advises Kaladin not to take Dreamstorm out on patrols. [1]
