The Order of Edgedancers was an order of the Knights Radiant on Roshar.[1]

The Edgedancers were Surgebinders who used the two Surges of Abrasion and Progression[1].

Historical

They were known as the most articulate and refined of the Radiants.

They were considered elegant things of beauty. But also would ignore things of great import in favor of smaller things, as some would see it.

Ideals of the Edgedancers

The Ideals of the Knights Radiant, also known as the Immortal Words, are a set of rules by which the Radiant lived. The First Ideal, identical for all orders of the Radiants, is used as their motto. Each of the Radiant Orders then had an additional four ideals that were unique to each order.

The First Ideal

Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.

—The First Ideal of the Knights Radiant[2]

The Second Ideal

I will remember those who have been forgotten.

—The Second Ideal of the Edgedancers[3]

Powers

The Edgedancers use the Surges of Abrasion and Progression.

They may have the ability to extract Stormlight from food.

They have the Power of Regrowth.

They can let seeds grow.

They can manipulate friction.

They could ride the thinnest rope at speed, dance across rooftops, move through a battlefield like a ribbon on the wind.

Quotes

When Simol was informed of the arrival of the Edgedancers, a concealed consternation and terror, as is common in such cases, fell upon him; although they were not the most demanding of orders, their graceful, limber movements hid a deadliness that was, by this time, quite renowned; also, they were the most articulate and refined of the Radiants.
