Brightlord Sheler is a commander in Meridas Amaram's army from Alethkar on Roshar.[1]
He is a lighteyes of the fifth dahn, and is cousin to Highlord Amaram.[2]
Sheler commands the messenger squad in the battle where Tien dies. Sheler's company has a black glyphpair with shesh and lerel.[1]
He is later involved in fighting on the border of Herdaz and is captured by Herdazian soldiers after murdering and robbing their civilians and raping multiple women.[2] As punishment, he is given the option of death, torture, or "the hog".[2] He chooses the hog, thinking he will have to wrestle a pig, but the hog is in fact an enormous sea-dwelling creature.[2] He is doused in bait and left shackled on the beach as the Herdazians use a horn to summon the hog (likely a yu-nerig or a similar greatshell).[2]
