Lightspren, more commonly known in Shadesmar as Reachers, are a subset of spren.

Appearance

In Shadesmar Reachers appear human though they have metallic bronze skin, similar to living statues.[1] They have bronze metal eyes with holes for the pupils.[2] The ones on Captain Ico's ship wear human clothing, though they are barefoot. Their clothing is tan and has many buttoned pockets.[1]

It's currently unknown what Reachers look like in the Physical Realm.

Culture

They are often guides in Shadesmar as they like to travel to different places, trading and selling goods.[3] They use Mandras to pull their ships.[1] There are Reaches living in Celebrant[4], Captain Ico's daughter once lived in the city and worked there at the moneychangers.[2]

Abilities

The Reachers on Ico's ship are barefoot so that they can walk along the vibrating copper lines set into the ship. Shallan believes they use it to communicate.[1]

Nahel Bond

Reachers are the spren of an order of the Knights Radiant, as Captain Ico's father is a deadeye who was killed during the Recreance.[2] Which order they belong to is currently unknown.
