Malata is a middle-aged woman from Jah Keved. She is a Dustbringer bonded to an Ashspren named Spark.

She arrives to Urithiru with Taravangian and unsettles both Dalinar Kholin and Shallan Davar.

On orders from the Diagram, she opened the Oathgate to Jah Keved to allow in Voidbringers into Urithiru during the Battle of Thaylen Field as part of Taravangian's plan to appeal to Odium.
