He is a dark-skinned Alethi, with possibly some Azish ancestry, has green eyes, and wears a full beard.
He longed to be proving himself on the battlefield instead of standing guard. He is present during the highstorm prior to the balcony collapsing in the king's room. After this Idrin is reassigned to the army by Dalinar.
