Gor is a soldier in Amaram's army on Roshar.[1]

History[edit]

In 1169, when Gor was barely out of his teens, Amaram's army was fighting against Brightlord Hallaw's army. Gor spoke with the squadleader Varth, repeating Brightlord Sheler's command to hold position where they were. Varth realized that he didn't have enough fighting men, so he told the nearby messenger boys to arm themselves and instructed Gor to place them at the front of the squad's formation. Gor briefly questioned this order, but ultimately complied.[2][1] This sequence of events led to Tien's death, and for a time Kaladin was fueled by his desire for vengeance on Varth and all of his soldiers.[3]
