Gavashaw was a criminal in Bornwater on Roshar.[1]
He was set up as a rival to Makkek by the local lord in Kneespike, and was given a large mansion in the east of Bornwater. Szeth was sent by Makkek to assassinate him, but when Szeth infiltrated the mansion he found Gavashaw's head on a table in the bedroom. He was then confronted by a masked member of the Diagram who revealed that they had killed both Gavashaw and Makkek and that his master (Taravangian) now controlled Szeth's Oathstone.[1]
