The Thrill is a feeling mentioned on Roshar
Origins and Location
It is likely caused by the being known as Nergaoul. It is strongest in Alethekar, but also exists in Jah Keved, causeing those nations to be more warlike. Nations such as Shinovar do not have the Thrill, and as a result are much more peaceful.
Varieties
There are different types of Thrill, such as the Thrill of contest and the Thrill of battle.[1] The Thrill of contest is less strong than the Thrill of battle.
Effects
According to description, the Thrill "sings" and is a feeling of glory. It focuses a person[2] and gives them strength to disregard external influences. Dalinar feels it very strongly, but it is begining to go away. At one point, he was fighting Parshendi and the Thrill went away. He felt nauseous, and wanted to stop fighting.
