Taran is the serving boy in Tvlakv's slave caravan.[1]

One of the Tvlakv's slaves is Kaladin on this trip trip to the Shattered Plains.

It's not known what might have happened to Lanky Taran after the slave caravan reached Sadeas' warcamp. When Shallan runs into the caravan, Taran apparently isn't with them anymore.
