The Coppermind has spoilers for all of Brandon's published works, now including The Sunlit Man. Stormfather was a colloquial term for the Herald Jezrien on Roshar during the Era of Solitude, and was often used as a curse. It's usage stemmed from the belief that Jezrien sent the highstorms, and that he was their master. It is also likely that his personality influenced the term, due to his being known for his fury and temper.
