Lurnips are a type of plant native to Roshar.[1]
Lurnips are green and cultivated as a vegetable.[1] They may be related to the similarly named curnips, an edible species of rockbud.[2]
History[edit]
Jasnah ate a lurnip as part of a women's vegetable stew during a lunch meeting with Taravangian in Kharbranth.[3]
In Emul, there was a lurnip famine a few decades before the year 1173, implying that they are a staple food in the region. Av's father went to the Nightwatcher because his family was starving due to the famine.[4]
