Kurl are a form of small crustacean on Roshar.[1]
They are similarly sized to axehounds, and look like a combination of a crab and a tortoise. They do not live in the Shattered Plains.
According to Kaladin, the male kurl watches over their eggs.[1]
Shallan mentions seeing a man with a trained kurl who will dance and wave it's arms for fish.[2]
