Brightlady Istow was a woman who lived on Roshar during the Era of Solitude.

Istow served as a highjudge, who officiated over duels between lighteyes. She and several other women recorded scores, kept the dueling rankings and held books of dueling code used in determining the winner of the bout. Istow was the highjudge during Adolin Kholin's duel with Brightlord Resi.
