Hobber is a member of Bridge Four on Roshar.[1]
He was round-faced, gap-toothed and had a thick neck. He was wounded in Kaladin's first run as bridgeleader. He was shot with an arrow to the leg and displayed near devotion toward Kaladin for saving his life.[2] Due to his battlefield injury, he walked with a limp. He was recruited by Lopen to help carry water while his leg was healing.[3] In Words of Radiance Hobber is the first Bridgeman, by group consent, to receive his Bridge Four tattoo.[4] He later loses feeling in both legs due to a Shardblade wound from Szeth during Szeth's first attempt to assassinate Dalinar Kholin. Kaladin then assigns him to help Rock as a cook.[5]
