History
In 1169, when Gor was barely out of his teens, Amaram's army was fighting against Brightlord Hallaw's army. Gor spoke with the squadleader Varth, repeating to him Brightlord Sheler's command to hold position where they were. Varth realized that he didn't have enough fighting men, so he told the nearby messenger boys to arm themselves and instructed Gor to place them at the front.[2][1]
