Breakneck is a game commonly played by the Vorin peoples of Roshar during the Era of Solitude.[1][2]
Breakneck is played fairly widely, in both gambling dens and among the common darkeyes.[1][2]
Rules
Breakneck is played with stones,[2] and involved throws and tosses and draws.[1] However, the Rosharans would not bet on the the outcome, rather they would bet on the hand that they held after all the throws and draws, due to the Vorin fear of predicting the future.
There are three known types of throws in breakneck.[2] The first is known as the tower, and is made up of three pairs, which was an outright loss. The second is the queen, composed of two trios, an outright win. The final known throw is the butcher, which is made of a trio and a pair, which could either win or lose, depending on your other throws and the throws of others.
|Veil can be seen playing it in the bar at Urithiru.[3]
