Barmest was a merchant from Thaylenah on Roshar.

He sold books in Kharbranth and was Artmyrn's largest competitor.[1] Yalb told Artmyrn that Barmest had offered Shallan a better price for the books she needed so that Artmyrn would think he need to offer a lower price to Shallan.
