Nacomb Gaval is a young lighteyed soldier in Kholin army during the War of Reckoning.

He is promoted and given a field commission as commander of the rear guard by Kaladin with orders to oversee the retreat of Dalinar's army during the Battle of the Tower. Once he takes command, the army begins to retreat through the bridge in a quick, orderly fashion.[1]

He participates in the Battle of Narak.[2]
