Varanis is a listener lieutenant under Eshonai on the Shattered Plains of Roshar during the War of Reckoning.[1]
He works to try and find new listener forms, being one of the soldiers to paint in the Hall of Art in an attempt to attract creationspren.[1] He later adopts stormform.[2]
Rlain mourned the loss of Varanis, Eshonai, Thude and the other Parshendi.[3]
