Vaceslv is a member of Kholinar Wall Guard.[1][2][3] He is a part of Noro's squad, Platoon Seven, Squad Two.

Appearance and Personality

Kaladin describes Vaceslv as a friendly man; Alethi, but with obvious Thaylen heritage. Vaceslv is of the tenth dahn, the lowest rank of lighteyes, and views middlers, lighteyes who are above the eight dahn but not quite highlords, as useless. During a patrol, when Vaceslv's group passes Adolin, who was disguised as a middler, Vaceslv mocks their stereotypical need for clothing.

Aquiantance with Kaladin

Vaceslv, being a part of the same squad as Kaladin was recruited to, knew Kaladin as a fellow soldier. Vaceslv and another member named Alaward tried multiple times to get Kaladin to play cards with them, though Kaladin declined, thinking of his experiences with Sah and the other Voidbringers.[1] Vaceslv, after a Fused raid, is noted as having taken a gash to the chest.[1] He is also probably present when Highmarshall Azure reveals how she supplies food for the army. Vaceslv, along with the rest of Noro's squad, follows Kaladin into Kholinar Palace and fights in the Battle of Kholinar.[3] It is assumed that he dies, along with the other soldiers, in the fighting.
