Truthberry

Template:Flora & Fauna The truthberry is a fruit that grows in Azir on Roshar.

Legends say that after consuming either the berry or the jam made form it, one will speak the truth until the next sunset. However it is known that the berries themselves are harmless and only the burning of the leafs and stalks has an effect on people breathing in the smoke. The smoke of the truthberry leaves and stalks can be intoxicating and cause euphoria. People often gather to burn the leaves and stalks and eat the berries. This often results in "rather interesting nights."

While on a picnic Shallan and Kabsal eat some truthberry jam and he tells her about the legends and she replies that she is surprised it is not called birthberry.
