Sarpenthyn

Sarpenthyn is a family of animals on Roshar that tend to be found in the western half of the continent. The specimen in the menagerie in the warcamps is much larger than the species Shallan had previously seen in Jah Keved. It is warm blooded and resembles a slimy lump of flesh with two bulbous eyes and four long tentacles. When Shallan provoked it, the sarpenthyn inflated and raise two of its arms threateningly. The lack of a defined form allows it to squeeze into the cracks between rocks to shelter from the highstorm.
