Ashspren are a subset of spren that exist on Roshar.[1]

Ashspren like to break things around them.[2][1] They form Nahel bonds with Surgebinders of the Order of Dustbringers.

It is unknown what they look like in the Physical Realm. In Shadesmar, they take the form of humans with "skin the color of old white ashes" that disintegrates and blows away when stretched to reveal their bones, before quickly growing back.[3] Many ashspren are still hostile towards humans[3] for the deaths of their friends in the Recreance.[1] Additionally it has been suggested that many Ash spren where killed in the formation of the organised worship of Honor (Vorin church/Hierocracy).[3]
