Artmyrn is a merchant from Kharbranth on Roshar.[1]

He owns and operates a book shop with his wife, and sells a number of books to Shallan while she was making another attempt to impress Jasnah Kholin. A friend of Shallan's, Yalb, creates a ruse to force him to lower his prices by claiming Barmest, a rival merchant, has offered a much lower price. The ruse works, with Artmyrn cursing Barmest as he sells the books to Shallan for a reduced price.

Shallan suspects that unlike most men, Artmyrn is literate, but is not crass enough to show it where customers can see.
