Shadows Remembered was a book full of children's tales about the Voidbringers. It was a thin, red book with a hogshide cover. The author had been curious about the folktales of the darkeyes and had spent years collecting them.

Shallan found Jasnah reading the book and thus looked for it herself, because she thought it would probably be a philosophical work about a historical murder. Shallan was disappointed about the seemingly profane content of that book after she found it in the Palanaeum where it was shelved in the same room as Dialogues.
