Adolin Kholin is to meet with Reral, but is waylaid when he protects a prostitute who was being beaten by one of Sadeas's officers.[1] Adolin gives Kaladin an emerald chip to tell Reral that he can no longer make it and will reschedule for another time. Kaladin never delivers the message because he felt that Adolin was talking down to him.
