Black sphere
World of Origin Roshar
This article's title is uncanonical and a fan created one, because an official term or name has not been made yet.

The black sphere is given to Szeth by Gavilar just before his death.[1]

The sphere is small, crystalline, and tied to a chain. It glows with a black light, although it is completely dark.[1] Galivar says that Szeth must take it so that the Parshendi do not get hold of it. The light is different from Stormlight and is related to a different shard.[2]

Szeth hid the sphere in Jah Keved.[3]

We are aware of a second black sphere that was in Gavilar's possession, then given to Eshonai, creating the catalyst needed for the Listeners to purchase Szeth and employ him as their assassin, as Gavilar mentioned that "with a very special gemstone, you can hold even a god." The whereabouts of this second sphere are currently unknown. [4]
