Jess is a skaa from the Tresting plantation in the Final Empire on Scadrial.[1]
She had an attractive daughter and feared that she would eventually be taken by Themos Tresting. Tresting did send for the girl, but she was rescued when Kelsier killed him and the rest of the plantation staff.[1]
