Grent is a soldier and guard in the army of Straff Venture on Scadrial.[1]
He is posted as a door guard outside of Straff's tent in the Venture camp. He assists Straff by fetching Amaranta when Straff believes himself to be poisoned.[1] He is also present when Straff awakes, and gives him updates on the recent actions of Lord Janarle and the state of the koloss army.[2] Grent is shocked when Straff tells him that he plans to retreat, rather than attacking the supposedly weakened city of Luthadel.[2]
