Jan Ven is a Sho Del in the cosmere.[1]
Like all Sho Del, she has chalk-white skin and hair, four arms, and reptilian eyes. She works as a guide and a boatwoman in the Cognitive Realm; MeLaan hires her when she travels through Shadesmar on behalf of Harmony. Jan Ven is empathetic and willing to accomodate MeLaan, as well as explain various aspects of Cognitive Realm culture and mechanics to her.[1]
