Hesho is a kitsen captain and the former king of his people. Hesho travels to Starsight with a contingent of fifty of his former subjects, including his shield bearer, Kauri, and a senator, Aria, to prove that their race is worthy of primary citizenship within the Superiority.[1][2] Hesho is killed by Brade during the Weights and Measures assault on Detritus. His captaincy of the Gaualako-An and the Swims Against the Current in a Stream Reflecting the Sun is succeeded by Kauri.[3]
