A Soothing parlor is a type of business in Elendel where people go to to have emotions dampened. Depending on the amount paid, certain emotions can be requested. Theoretically Rioters would also work there or have rioting parlors. They often have aluminum plating in the walls to prevent the strong pushing of emotions inside the building from affecting other people outside the building. People go to these Soothing parlors often because at this time, the lower class is worked very hard, and have very difficult lives. This leads them to rebel, but also to go to these Soothing parlors.
