Sam is a member of the Reckoners who worked with Val, Exel, and Mizzy in Babilar.[1][2]
History
Sam was the point man on Val's team. Prior to being assigned to Babilar, he took part in the assassination of Puños de Fuego in Mexico alongside Val.[3] He was a mentor to Missouri Williams when she first joined the Reckoners.[2] He was the first to learn to use the spyril.[4] While observing Megan in Babilar, Sam went against Val's orders to confront her. He attempted to shoot her, but she outdrew him and shot him in self defense.[5] Mizzy held a grudge against Megan, whom she knew as Firefight, for the death of Sam, and swore revenge.[6]
