Lifeforce made me an offer. |Brigand explaining his betrayal to Abigail Brigand is part of the Texas Reckoner cell. He gets wounded by shrapnel during a mission in Galveston. He later betrays his fellow Reckoners to Lifeforce, and is rewarded with luxurious housing and food, as well as getting his disfigured face made whole again. He tries to rationalize his decision, but he is consumed with his guilt. He realizes that even Lifeforce is doing good for other people by providing them a paradise to live in, while Brigand only looks out for himself. Lifeforce used Brigand for one of his experiments, killing him in the process.
