Skyward Flight is a group of DDF pilots, originally known as Cadet Flight B.[1][2] The Flight is taught by Cobb when its members are still in Flight School.[3] Of the original ten members, only FM and Jorgen graduated.

Skyward Flight was sent into battle on their first day of Flight School, despite their lack of training, as extra starfighters were required to give the impression that the DDF forces were larger than they actually were. During the fight, Krell ships attacked the group and began to chase Jorgen. Kimmalyn successfully sniped the ship from a distance, saving Jorgen's life.[4][5] Rig quit the DDF after the battle, shaken from his experiences in the air.[6]

Roughly a month after the cadets began at Flight School, Bim and Morningtide were shot down during battle.[7]
